The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.
~William James
Every once in a while we all experience stressful times. Times in which we are obligated to do certain things we do not necessarily enjoy doing. Whether this is with respect to work or school or any other occasion, we all experience it from time to time. These stressful moments can tear you down, you feel tired, exhausted and have no inspiration or whatsoever to do the things you love to do. There are so many duties that you have to fulfill, that sometimes it can feel as if you are standing still while the world is passing by. And we often find ourselves wondering, why? Why are we so stressed out? Why do we worry about all these little matters? Why do we let stress withhold ourselves from doing what we love the most?
You see, it is the trick to forget about that stress during those stressful times. To take your mind of the things you are obligated to do and to fill your life with things you love, to surround yourself with people you love and to create memories you are going to love. Stress is only temporary, and it won’t be helpful at all to stress about the stress. Take a deep breath and look around you. What we mustn’t forget, no matter how many obligations we have, is to live truly. Even if that means we won’t be able to all fulfill all of our duties. In the end everything will be alright. And if not, it is not the end.
