I can smell Autumn dancing in the breeze. The sweet chill of pumpkin and crisp sunburnt leaves.

 

 

The perfect Autumn is a combination of rainy, stormy,  windblown nights and crispy, cold, dry days. The world is coloured in bright orange, red and yellow leaves and everywhere you go you can smell the familiar Autumn smell, the smell of rotting leaves and pumpkin guts. The mornings are filled with nature hikes, exploring forests and visiting pumpkin patches. The afternoons are spend baking Autumn delights and drinking hot cocoa while reading an Autumn themed book. The rainy nights are full of laughter, board games and family fun, while warming up after a day spend outside by a fire place. Or having a movie marathon with treats you made that afternoon. The dry nights are the perfect time for making a bonfire with friends and roasting marshmallows or chestnuts. It is cold enough to wear comfy sweaters that will provide you enough warmth, however, it is not cold enough yet for the first snow to fall. The perfect Autumn is a combination of coziness, warmth, the smell of rotting leaves, cinnamon, delicious treats, love and rain.
